| THERE'S NO BUSINESS... |
| Creative Team Building (1 day) |
 |
Teams are asked to mount a theatrical
production. With the help of theatre professionals the participants
are asked to act, sing, dance and costume a performance for
their peers. Oh! And they need to write, direct and stage-manage
the performance as well.
These events are unlike any other team
building courses and are for teams who need a bonding experience,
an injection of creativity and the rediscovery of the meaning
of fun.
The objectives of this event are to:
Create an inclusive, interactive and appropriate
event
Allow participants to get to know one another
Nurture the organisation's values
Generate a safe environment to explore and experiment
Encourage
greater team understanding
Cement relationships
Demonstrate how each individual
can contribute to the whole
Help people develop their creativity
Other team building ideas include
"NEWS DAY"
Teams compile a News Programme perhaps on the challenges facing
the organisation
"COMMERCIAL BREAK" Teams create
and film a TV commercial, perhaps for the
organisation's values

Team Building

| WHAT IS FORUM THEATRE? |
 |
Forum Theatre
usually consists of a custom written play or scenario that we
write
We base the actions of the play
on research obtained by observing your business and talking
to relevant individuals within it.
The action takes place in a mirror
world, close enough in structure to your organisation
to be recognisable, but far enough away for the participants
not to feel threatened or criticised
The action displays a world of behaviours that the audience
(i.e. the participants) can examine and interact with,
a world they can manipulate and change for the better
The participants can interview
and coach the characters in the play
Our professional actors will devise
an improvised outcome from the advice and coaching
they are offered
The participants are then able
to watch as their advice and coaching is put into practice
This approach offers a safe environment
to rehearse skills or run scenarios that might be difficult to
trial with "real" people

| WHAT IS ROLE PLAY? |
 |
Role Play is
face to face simulated interaction
We custom write role-play briefs
for our actors based on situations the participants will be
familiar with
We realize that Role Play
can be very stressful for participants and so we never ask
them to play anybody but themselves
Role Play is a useful tool for practising listening
and questioning techniques as well
as feedback and coaching
Using Forum Theatre and Role Play, Entertaining Training's innovative approach
guarantees that your participants will leave the workshop with renewed skills
and confidence that they can use the moment that they return to the workplace.
